Animal Activities #91: Seagull school

Hello my dear Steemians,
Have you ever thought that often we, human have a lot in common with the animals in this particular case with birds. Over here in UK we have a long coastal line no matter if you go anywhere due to being island we have sea and seagulls. They are always associate with beach area, cafes, fish and chips and of course, hungry seagulls.
Usually in Spring seagulls build their nests and have their little chicks, majority of them survive others might die early. Those ones who survive and grow up they have their seagull parent school, starting with flying, once they are strong enough then we see the birds on wet sand beach and also they are then being thought how to chase the food and to hunt themselves.
The other important task for seagull young birds to learn how to swim and dive and we could observe that in a little pool of water. There were many seagulls and it was nice to see how they all dong the same movements, also to clean themselves or we call to bath. That was a lot of fun.

When we looked at other side of the pool we noticed that there is a black crow who was also taking bath away from seagulls school, probably did not like the whole noise done by the young chicks.
Since all the birds now at water side in the town it is quite and not much seagull droppings that usually you can find in garden or on your car. Seagulls love our house because we have tall house and roof is a favourite place for their nests. We tried to do everything including bird spikes but until now we were not successful and seagulls still return in spring to our roof, now we have again break till next spring.
