Assalamu Alaikum my dear friends!
A warm welcome to my blog dear steemians. I am pretty sure you are all doing great by the blessings of Allah just like me. Alhamdulillah guys , I am fit and I hope you will be the same. I am participating in animal activities contest organized by respected sir. I hope you like my story. Let's start.
༻The Firefly That Forgot How to Glow ༻
In a huge forest lived many firefly. During the day they would hide under the leaves of the trees. Well they wait for the night. When the sun set. All the firefly would come out of their homes. They would fly between the trees. They make the whole forest beautiful with their little lights. At night from a distance. It looks like a lot of little stars are flying in the forest.

Among these giants, there was a small giant named Luma. Luma loved her light. Every night he would fly and be happy with the other Jagannavs. Sometimes it would go above the tree and sometimes it would fly near the grass. When he sees his own light, he feels that he is special like the rest of the Jagannavs.
One night Luma came out of his house and tried to shine as usual. But this time no light came out of his body. He tried again, but still nothing happened. He panicked. He tried several times but his light did not return.
Luma went to the other Jagnos. When they saw that the luma was not shining, some of the Jagnos began to talk among themselves. "Where did his light go?" said one. "Perhaps it will never shine again," said another. Some of the Jagnos turned away from him. When Luma heard all this, he felt very bad.

He left everyone and went under an old tree. He sat there thinking for a long time. He felt that nothing was good in his life anymore. He missed his light a lot. He was thinking that if he could not shine, then why would the rest of the Jagnos keep him with them?
For the next several nights Luma was alone. The rest of the Jagannavs would come out at night and light up the forest, but Luma stayed under his tree. He would sometimes look at everyone from a distance and then turn his face away.
One night the weather suddenly turned bad. Many black clouds appeared in the sky. The wind picked up and soon after it started raining. All the Jagnos quickly hid under the leaves. Luma was also about to go under a big leaf when he heard someone crying.

He stopped. He listened again. The sound was coming from the part of the forest. Where there was a small river. Luma flew towards it even though he was afraid.
A little girl was sitting by the river crying. She was very scared. Her clothes were soaked with rain. She was repeatedly calling the name of her house. She got away from her family in the forest. Now she can't find her way.
The girl saw Luma and said, "Can you take me to my house?"
Luoma couldn't speak. Well he didn't want to leave the girl alone. He went a little further. Then turned back and saw the girl. The girl understood that she had to follow him.
Luma started flying forward and the girl followed him. It was very dark in the forest. Luma no longer had light. So she couldn't see the way clearly either. But he slowly moved on.

When she walked. Luma noticed that he could see things in the darkness. Well that he had never seen before. He saw a small passage between the leaves. He knew where near the river the water was deep and where the land was fine. He would take the girl safely every time.
At one place, the girl's foot slipped. Luma immediately returned to him. The girl picked up her foot and started walking again. After some time they both reached another part of the forest.
A small house was visible in the distance. A woman and a man were standing worried outside the house. He was looking for his daughter. When the girl saw her parents, she happily ran towards them. His mother immediately hugged him.
"A little Jugnu has shown me the way," the girl told her parents.

His father looked into the forest, but Luma was not there. He had quietly gone back to his tree.
The next night when Luma went to the other Jagannavs, they all asked him where he had been the previous night. Luma told them about the girl. All the Jagnos fell silent.
"We singled you out only because you weren't shining. We thought you were useless. But you helped a human being last night," said a Jagno.
Luma smiled. His light still hadn't returned, but he didn't worry about that now. He understood that there is something good in everyone. Sometimes one's virtue is visible to all and sometimes it remains hidden.
That night Luma flew back into the forest. The rest of the Jagnos were lighting up the night with their light and Luma was flying along with them. He was no longer the same, but he was happy.

Luma had learned that losing one of our qualities does not mean we are useless. There may be some other quality in us, which we are not even aware of.
And perhaps that was the true light of Luma.
Now I am inviting some of my dear Steemians for joining this contest @paholags, @enrisanti , @oswaldocuarta , @ridwant and @wirngo. |

¡Holaaa amiga!🤗
