The Little Cat Who Changed a Life
A Little Cat in a quiet village of green trees and lovely flowers lived a tiny cat named Snowy. She was a very pretty kitten. She had white fur, blue eyes and a little pink nose. But Snowy had no house. She ran here and there everyday looking for food and a place to stay.
One chilly evening, Snowy was looking for a place to warm up when she heard someone crying. She followed the crying until she got to a tiny house. As Snowy approached she saw a little girl with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Why are you crying?" Snowy asked herself, rubbing her leg against the girl.
Amara smiled faintly as she lifted her sleeping cat. She had recently lost her beloved grandmother and she was lonely since no one appeared to understand her sadness.
As a result of that evening, Snowy has been Amara's love and constant companion.
The little cat would follow her around all over the garden, to try and catch the butterfly-like creatures, and would snuggle up beside her while she read her books. If Amara was ever sad, Snowy would take up her position on her lap and purr gently to let her know she was not alone.
One day, something special happened. Amara was in the garden playing when she lost her footing and she hurt her ankle. Amara called for help but nobody could hear her.
Snowy took off sprinting to the house, and was aroused as she began to squeal and claw at the door. Amara's mother heard the howling and followed Snowy down to the garden and found Amara writhing in pain.
Because of Snowy's perseverance, it was not long before Amara got the help she needed.
Since then, Snowy was adopted by Amara's family and lived happily ever after at their home. The little tiny feral stray kitten was offered a comfortable bed, good food, and care and love from humans.
Time went by and Snowy became stronger and more cheerful. Amara started smiling more and enjoying their companionship.
As Amara watched Snowy that one night she picked him up, held him gently and said, "You entered my life at a time when I needed a friend. Now you are family."
Snowy let out a happy purr, with her eyes shut tight.
Moral of the story: Big happiness comes in small packages. All it takes is a little kindness, and you never know whom it might lead to, love doesn't need words, it has its own little things to speak out loud.
