Drawing tutorial: A beautiful portrait drawing journey
Today I am sharing with you another drawing experience of mine. This time I have tried to make a portrait of a beautiful girl. I completed the drawing in different stages, first preparing the blank paper, then sketching the basic outline of the face and gradually adding the eyes, hair, clothing and other details. In this post I am showing only the steps that are in my photos.
Step 1: Prepare blank paper
First I took a plain blank paper. I wrote my username @taaher1 and the date 2-10-2026 on top of the paper so that the identity and date of my artwork is clear. I then prepared to start drawing on the same paper.
Step 2: Initial sketch of the face
After that I started to make a rough outline of the face. First of all, the side profile of the face, the basic lines of the nose, lips and chin are visible in the image. I drew only the necessary lines in this step to keep the direction and structure of the face correct.
Step 3: Detail the eye and hair
In the next step I drew the eye on the face and added the initial shape of the hair. At the same time draw the hair lines on the forehead. From this stage the facial features became more visible than before.
Step 4: Finishing the hair
Now I made the hair more detailed. Defined the top layer of hair, side and back braids. Also improved the ears and other facial lines.
Step 5: Neck and Shoulders
In this step I completed the outline of the neck and shoulders. Also made the braids of hair under the face more pronounced, improving the overall look of the portrait.
Step 6: Dress and Final Details
Finally I added details near the shoulders and neck of the dress. Made hair, face and clothing lines more defined. Thus my portrait drawing was completed.
My inspiration
My inspiration for this drawing came from beautiful portraits and facial expressions. I love drawing facial features and hair details with pencil, so this time I decided to create a simple but beautiful portrait. During the drawing I tried to complete each step slowly and in the final image there is a good balance between the face, hair and clothes. For me, every new drawing is a new experience and through every picture I try to improve my artistic skills.
Conclusion
Making this portrait was an interesting and creative experience for me. A drawing that started with a blank piece of paper gradually turned into a complete character. I hope you like this art journey of mine.
