Domestic Robot? In for it!

Greetings friends and welcome to my blog. This is a very beautiful topic we are unto in this weeks challenge and just the thought of this already excites me.

If domestic robots become cheap enough, would you buy one for your home?

Honestly I am excited when I watch movies and see the enormity of what artificial intelligence has been doing and can do and for someone who loves innovations, I do not mind having a domestic robots for my home.

So the answer is yes, if domestic robots were to become cheap enough, I wouldn’t just buy one for my home, I would buy more than one. Hahah. Don’t judge me please, who doesn’t love soft life. Not that I am planning to lead a lousy life, but having them in the house can be a lot of help and relieve considering the so much chores at home.

With all that cleaning and consistent arrangements, cooking and one form of chore or the other, one barely have time to rest and breathe, so you see why more than one would come in handy.

And for me that has been fantasizing about giving birth to quadruplets, hahaha, that’s full house, full work and a load of responsibilities. So having some artificial friends who do not get tired to come to the rescue is definitely a welcomed development. All the way in!

What would you want the robot to be able to do?

Well, there are some chores in the house that I find totally not my thing to do and it has always being a struggle for me till date. So I would really be so relieved if the domestic robot can help with those chores and the chore on the first list is washing clothes.

Yes, washing and ironing has always been a hectic chore for me. It’s not just my thing. Most times I have to pile up my clothes for days before gathering the strength and courage to wash them. It’s usually very hectic even though I finally enjoy it when I do because of the relive it brings to see your dirty clothes washed.

Ironing is another Herculean task and worst than washing if you ask me. Because of my fear to iron, presently I do not fold my clothes. I ensure they are all on the hanger so as to minimize their being rumpled.

I don’t want to be in that place where I am always ironing clothes cos I do not like to do that so having a domestic robot or robots to help with these house chores and more would really be a great relive and I would definitely go for them.

When do you think they will become widely available and affordable?

Hmmm, robots now are a no go area and definitely only for the wealthy. I do not even think it’s that readily available for the rich yet.

They are obviously costing a lot of money right now but with the age of articial intelligence taking over, it may not be that so long before it becomes a new normal for almost every home to own one domestic type of robot or the other.

I think that in the next thirty years, robots would have been so rampart and very affordable that average home can be able to afford them.

I am honestly routing for this age of artificial intelligence and very excited for all the possibilities it’s coming with and would not hesitate to take part in it especially with the ones that can help me with domestic chores.
