...Will Definitely Miss Them.

Scrolling through my gallery, I found out some pictures worthy of a beautiful write up but somehow, I've not been able to do the write up, it's been about two months since these pictures have been on my phone but somehow I've left it there hoping that a day would come and I will definitely write about it...so guys today is that day.
Why did I choose to write about these two love birds, well its simple, I shared in their joy on their special wedding day. The husband in this picture is a brother in my church and we serve in one of the departments in my church. Before this particular event we weren't that close but this event brought us close.
While the planning for the wedding was on, he reached out to our departmental H.O.D stating that he needed a representative from the department who would be travelling with him to go marry and bring back his damsel. Somehow, everyone was unavailable due to several important reasons until my name came into the picture and I consented.
The wedding ceremony was not in our state, it was in Osun State, Ilesha to be precise and it fell on a work day, Friday hence the reason why people couldn't meet up. To him, I think I was the last person he could imagine would embark on that journey with him but to his surprise, I was the only one from the dept coupled with his immediate siblings and parent. This meant a lot to him

We got there and to my greatest surprise, I was automatically grafted into the folks that would act as his groomsmen, because we were just 7 in number including the driver. Technically, we were just 3 young men who would play that role. I didn't plan this but I had to play along and do the needful. I guess it's the reason why he appreciates and holds me in high esteem afterwards.

At the end of the day, we had a very successful wedding ceremony and we were able to bring the bride back home all the way from Ilesha, Osun State to Ibadan where we all reside. It was an eventful day indeed. Now the reason why I titled my post with the above...
Just last Sunday during service at church, they were called out and prayed for. Turns out that they will be leaving our church for another new branch close to where they reside. It was not an easy one but we had to let go. I understand that this is just one of the many decisions one would have to make as a new and young couple to make life much easier for them.
I will truly miss them, Interestingly, I was just getting used to the bride, trying to encourage and bring her into the church workforce then this happened. Anyways I hope she considers and continues over there. I really wish them well. And to you my dear readers, thanks for reading through.
Regards

I'm glad you get the idea behind this write up, thank for your warm and encouraging comment. Indeed they will be missed.
Beautiful and heartfelt story. Sometimes a single event can bring people closer in ways we never expect, and your journey with this couple is a perfect example. It was really kind of you to travel with the groom and support him on such an important day, especially when everyone else was unavailable. It must feel bittersweet seeing them leave your church, but I hope their new journey brings them even closer and gives them many beautiful memories together.
Wishing this lovely couple a happy and blessed married life ahead.

Traveling all the way to show him love and support on his special day is something that give me this level of satisfaction each time I look back at the whole event and I'm glad I did.
I think you have the perfect definition of the way I feel about their departure but it all for good. There would still be room to catch up once in a while to know how we they faring. Thank you so much for engaging.
