Steemit Challenge Season 34 - Week 4
Looking back on my progression so far, I would have to confess that I have never been a pet owner. Though most grew up in houses that were rocked by a flash of softness or a sharp chirp-birds, cats, dogs-you get the picture-I myself have taken the winding road where full responsibility never quite sits well enough with me at the wheel. Regardless of what my routine has looked like up to this moment, one thing is for sure: if I had to choose a new roommate today, no question about it-dog.
Truly, there is a humanism, a soulful vitality, and a fidelity that exists among man and dog that few other creatures can match.
When you share your life with a dog, you're sharing a lifetime of companionship that's best described as integrated-their bumping up against you in the late-afternoon walk, the bossy way they plop down at your foot when you're working in your office-companionship wrapped in dependency that leaves you vulnerable and open and wishing you had a camera with you to freeze the moment where you realize-hey, I kind of dig this.
And I want one. Of course, that's not to say that I don't have my closest encounters on the roadside. You can probably see where I'm headed, but I recently captured this shot as a stray moments with a completely "at home" dog appeared on my busy schedule: a coiling, on-the-move pup, chocolatey-brown and wonderfully silky as I stood on the cold dry earth, accepting its approach with no fear, hearing those grinning pearly teeth and watching those pricked ears wiggle with energy as it lowered its snout downward in that sweet doggy investigation that I adore about dogs everywhere.
And really, nothing gets my dog-adoring juices flowing like that.
Sometimes I really can't help but think-man, that's exactly the kind of lovie I hope for my future pet owner attitude.

If you were to have a pet, it would undoubtedly be a dog, given their special nature: affectionate, loyal, and friendly. I can fully relate to this, as I also have a dog, and there is no better companion to have by your side. Whenever I get home, my pet is the first to greet me; it is a truly sweet and adorable moment. Scientifically speaking, walking a dog improves the mood of both the person and the animal, in addition to helping reduce stress.
Based on my own experience, I completely understand why you would want a dog as a pet.

A dog is honestly a great pet, and more needed in an unsecured environment; a dog is needed to act as a security alert it owners. I like dogs for their companionship, how they rush to welcome someone, bark at a stranger, and behave. Having a dog is always great and a good choice for me. Wishing you good luck. #s34engagement

Although you haven't owned a pet yet, your writing beautifully captures your love for dogs, as well as their loyalty, friendship, and companionship. I found your description of that brief moment with the dog you encountered on the street to be particularly vivid and heartwarming.
