My Monday Work Day - The Hustle Begins Again

Hello Steemians!
Happy new week to my beautiful Steemit family! I hope you all had a restful weekend.
For me, weekend was short as usual. Before I could even rest well, Monday don come again. As we all know, Monday is always the most stressful day of the week, but we just have to keep pushing because bills no dey wait.
I woke up very early this morning, around 4:45am. My alarm rang and I did not even feel like standing up. The bed was holding me tight. But I remembered that I have work and Lagos traffic will not forgive me if I waste time. So I quickly stood up, said my morning prayers, did my devotion, and went to the bathroom to freshen up.
After bathing, I ironed my clothes for the week on Sunday night already, so I just picked one and dressed up. I could not even eat at home because I was already late, so I just took water and left.
I left my house around 5:40am to beat traffic. I stay on the mainland and my work is on the island, so you can imagine the journey. Even with that early time, I still met traffic at Oshodi. Buses were full, everyone was rushing to work. The conductor was shouting "Obalende! Obalende!" and people were dragging to enter bus. I finally got a bus and managed to squeeze myself inside.
I got to work around 7:30am. I was a bit tired already from the journey but I still have full day work ahead. Immediately I entered office, I greeted my colleagues and settled down. My boss has already sent Monday tasks on our work group chat. Plenty emails to reply, reports from last week to submit, and we had a long Monday morning meeting that lasted almost one hour.
The morning was very busy. System was a bit slow and that made work more stressful. But I tried to stay calm and arrange my tasks one after the other. I always write my to-do list on Monday so I will not get confused.
In the afternoon, I finally had time to take a break. I went out with two of my colleagues to buy food. We bought rice and plantain. We sat down, ate and gisted about weekend and how Monday is always hectic. That small gist and laugh helped me to feel better and regain strength.
After lunch, I continued my work. I was able to finish most of the important tasks before 4pm. I felt so relieved. I checked my list and I have ticked many things.
I closed around 5:30pm and started the journey back home. Evening traffic in Lagos is another story entirely. I spent almost two hours on the road before I got home.
Now I am back home, I have removed my work clothes, I have taken my bath, and I am just lying down on my bed pressing my phone and writing this blog for you all. I am very tired but at the same time grateful to God for strength and for a successful Monday.
Tomorrow is Tuesday, we move again. One day at a time.
So tell me, how did your Monday go? Was your Monday stressful like mine or was it smooth? Let me know in the comment section.
Thank you so much for reading my blog. I appreciate your support always.
Wishing you all a productive and blessed week ahead!
