I know you came here feeling surprised, some of you might probably think or say within yourselves that what kind of a man likes a monkey...well, a man like me likes a monkey. It's actually an animal that can be domesticated. I've seen people domesticate this animal and have seen these animals trained to do amazing things.

There use to be one content creator whose content I usually come across on Facebook. She own a number of monkey and have trained them to do mind blowing things. You will be surprise at the amazing things they've being trained to do, which include how to live like humans...sound ridiculous right, well it's what it is.

So I believe by now you don't have any reservations about my choice to own a monkey, anyways it's my choice. Afterall the contest states that we mention the pet we would love to own, so this is personal.

Why Monkey of all animal?

Well, I would love to own a monkey as pet because they are perceived to be very intelligent, I've have seen first hand how they behave, they can be trained to do amazing things, they've got tricks and can entertain. These attributes alone make me desire them over and again.

Another reason why I would love to have it as pet is that the life expectancy period of some of them is up to 25years which clearly make them stand out when compared to pets like dog or cat. So if you need a pet that you would want around for a long time, you can consider getting a monkey.

In addition to the above, monkeys can easily blend in like a family member, there's is this strong affinity and bond that it tend to develop for its caregiver.A trait that only few pet possess.

Finally, one reason why I would like to get a monkey is actually for show, monkeys can become real entertainers when properly trained. I mean who wouldn't want a pet that would not only keep him company but also entertain him? such is what you get when you go for pets like monkey.

I know there are regulatory rules concerning owning uncommon pets like this but I don't think we have such in Nigeria where I reside because I've seen monkey a couple of time with the people who own them. They are literally tied by their waist. Only this that have adopted are allowed to move freely.

Conclusion

I wouldn't think twice if I am given the opportunity to own a monkey as pet, I want to have them so close so that I can study them and see why most people claim they are highly intelligent and how entertainment they can really be. Personally, I think these are enough good reasons to own this amazing creature as pet.
