What I'm Learning About Remote Work as a Nigerian 🇳🇬💻
When I first started hearing about remote work, it sounded almost too good to be true.
The idea that someone could work with people from different countries, provide a digital service, and earn without having to sit in a traditional office really caught my attention.
But as I started learning more, I realized something important:
Remote work is not “easy money.”
It is work.
You need skills.
You need discipline.
You need communication.
You need patience.
And most importantly, you need to keep learning.
My own journey is still in progress.
I've been learning about digital tools, IT support, virtual assistance, productivity platforms, communication tools, and different ways people work remotely.
Some days I feel like I'm making serious progress. Other days, there is so much to learn that I wonder where to start. 😂
But I'm beginning to understand that you don't have to know everything before you start.
You just need to learn one useful skill, practice it, improve, and keep moving.
As a Nigerian, I'm particularly interested in discovering legitimate online opportunities that can help people build careers beyond geographical limitations.
That's one of the reasons I joined Steemit.
I want to document what I'm learning, share opportunities I discover, talk about my experiences, and hopefully connect with other people who are on a similar journey.
Maybe someone reading this is also thinking about starting remote work.
If that's you, here's my advice:
Start small.
Pick one skill.
Learn it properly.
Build evidence that you can do it.
Then start looking for opportunities.
Don't wait until you feel completely ready.
I'm still learning too, and I'll be sharing more of the journey here.
So I'm curious:
What skill are you currently learning, and where are you learning it from?
Let's learn from each other. 🌍🤝

Sigamos aprendiendo y creciendo.
