How i Baked a Cake From Scratch

Hello everyone! 👋 Today, I want to share how I baked a cake from scratch. Baking a cake can look difficult when you are just watching someone else do it, but once you understand the basic steps, it becomes much easier and more enjoyable. Before I started, I gathered all the ingredients I needed. I used flour, sugar, margarine, eggs, milk, baking powder, vanilla flavour and a little salt. I made sure everything was ready because having to search for ingredients in the middle of baking can make the process stressful.

The first thing I did was cream the margarine and sugar together until the mixture became lighter and smoother. I then added the eggs one after another and mixed everything properly. After that, I added the vanilla flavour to give the cake a nice smell and taste. In another bowl, I mixed the flour, baking powder, preservatives and a little salt. I gradually added the dry ingredients to the wet mixture while adding some milk. I mixed everything gently until I got a smooth cake batter. I tried not to overmix it because I wanted the cake to have a soft texture.

Next, I prepared my baking pan by greasing it with margarine and lightly dusting it with flour. I poured the batter into the pan. I had already preheated the oven, so I placed the cake inside and allowed it to bake. After some time, the cake started giving off that lovely sweet smell that usually fills the kitchen when something is baking. I checked the cake with a toothpick to make sure it was properly baked. When the toothpick came out clean, I knew it was ready. I brought it out of the oven and allowed it to cool before removing it from the pan.

Baking a cake taught me that patience is very important. Small mistakes in measuring ingredients or mixing the batter can affect the final result. The best part was finally seeing the finished cake. It was satisfying to know that I had started with simple ingredients and turned them into something delicious.
