A mistake I learned from
The mistake I make is when I usually tell some friends my secret who pretend to be good to me. The reason why I normally tell them is to let them share in my pain because I believe that through their advice it would help me to overcome such a challenge. This incident happened because of the trust I have in them, especially if I face some financial problems, and I went to them in order to be relieved from the financial struggle.
For instance, I remember when my phone was stolen by a robber. So I went to one of my friends to borrow some money, and he was also aware of the situation. If I don't tell him the reason why I want to use the money, he may think I am not telling the truth.
He promised that he would give me the money, and I went the second day. My guy frowned at me, but he didn't say anything. I understood his gesture, and I left sad on my face. He should have told me at first that he didn't have money to give me.
I felt embarrassed at that time because if I had known that I should not go to his place initially, I sought the assistance somewhere else, where they borrowed me the money instantly, and I bought the phone the same day. Since then, I have learned that in the first place, I would just keep silent and wait for the best time to purchase a good phone or get a small phone to connect with friends and family.
I learned that it's better to tell a trusted friend so they can support us emotionally, and most of the good people who are aware of the situation told me to report to the nearby police station as well as visit a network service station so that my personal information can be secure. By blocking the SIM card and bank account, we can help prevent kidnappers from using stolen SIM cards to call the victim's family to bring ransom, which could lead to tracing it back to the owner. Blocking it is effective so that we can be on the safer side.
I will apply the lessons from my previous experience so that I may not fall victim again by patiently choosing trustworthy persons to narrate my story to, as well as to avoid visiting strange places.
