The Diary Game: Going Home After a Long Stay on Campus | 14-09-2026
Hello, Steemians! 👋
My name is Abraham Edoh Haruna, a graduate of the Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. 🎓
Today, I will be sharing how I spent my day, from helping a friend fix a faulty light switch to finally travelling home after spending a long time on campus.
🌅 Helping a Friend
I woke up this morning and decided to check my WhatsApp messages. While going through them, I came across a message from a friend asking me to help her replace a faulty light switch.
I replied and told her I would be there by 9:00 a.m. to help her get it done.
Before leaving, I brushed my teeth, took my bath, and got dressed. I then headed straight to her place.
When I arrived, she was very happy and excited to see me. After exchanging greetings, she offered me a seat and handed me the new light switch she had bought.
I stood up, walked over to the wall where the faulty switch was installed, and replaced it with the new one. After completing the task, I said goodbye and left.
🧳 Preparing to Travel Home
After leaving my friend's place, I returned to my lodge and began preparing my bags and belongings for the journey home.
Once I had packed everything, I headed to the roadside to look for a keke (tricycle) that would take me and my luggage to the motor park, where I would board a vehicle to Abuja.
I stood by the roadside for a while before finally getting a keke driver who agreed to carry me and my belongings. He took me to the park, and after arriving, I boarded a vehicle heading to Abuja.
The journey took about an hour before I finally reached my destination.
🏡 Finally Home!
After spending a long time away on campus, I was finally back home. It was a wonderful feeling to return, and I was grateful to God for a safe journey. 🙏❤️
Sometimes, after spending so much time in school, nothing feels better than returning home to rest and reconnect with family.
That was how my day went.
Thank you for reading my diary.
Until next time, stay blessed! ❤️
