Sitting down in the bus today just had me having a little flash back on my Lagos stay. I happened to come into Lagos in the most unlikely way of you ask me.

One moment I was living in the eastern part of our country and the next moment, I am to move to the west. It was just like a movie but it just had to be. I didn’t see that coming which was very unlikely.

Well, good things happen and we live with them. One of the things that had be unsettled initially was the rowdiness of Lagos. As someone who loves serenity, the noise for the first few months was rather uncanny.

Have I gotten used to it, I don’t think so but maybe to an extent but initially, I remember having headaches whenever I had to step out and the shouts of the bus conductors and the blaring of car horns here and there was literally insane.

The touting touch all over was one that you can’t ignore. And I was also bewildered by the fact that everyone seems to be shouting on top of there voice. The typical Yoruba lifestyle. And the fact that the cussing was a normal.

The bus conductors do be making a living out of cussing any little grievances on their path. The first success I had with understanding the Yoruba language was the cussing and they say that’s the easies way to learn the language is cussing but that definitely that’s not me.

Well, I am trying to get used to the hustling and busting go this city but if you’d ask me, I’d say that having to jump the bus in all its loudness is definitely not the go for me.

And no other day had it dawned on me than today as I sat uneasily in the Lagos bis again today. Technically covered by dust and I must not fail to mention that the heat has been on another level these days.

All of these topped off on my frustration with the city today. What is befitting of one is definitely a private car and well not just any type of car.

It was today it dawned on me that I sure do need a car. A good car to help to curb the craziness and noise of this city and the hassle of jumping from one noisy bus to another. I do not even want to mention the amount of noise these buses generate when they move.

There would definitely be no getting use to the noise in Lagos. Until then, we move!

Lagos will humble you and teach you at the same time, all that shouting and honking feels too much at first but you gradually find your own rhythm inside it. I get why you started thinking about a car today, you just need your own little quiet corner in this loud city.

Thank you so much @uzma4882 for the support.
