📣✨ UNFORGETTABLE TRIP ✨📣 WEEK / New Yam Festival Celebration #200📣✨

Every year, one trip I look forward to the most is going back home for the New Yam Festival. It’s not just a festival, it’s a thanksgiving.

This year’s celebration was unforgettable. The whole village was alive with drums, dancing, and colorful traditional attire.

The elders did the first cutting and blessing of the new yam to thank God for harvest. After that, everyone ate pounded yam with different soups together. The unity in the air was beautiful.

I spent the day taking photos of the celebration, the cultural dances, and the big decorated yam barns. The energy, the music, and seeing my people happy made me feel so connected to my roots

We celebrate food, but more than that we celebrate community, ancestors, and blessings.
