Contratti regolari, vitto e alloggio e naspi.

I recently watched the podcast hosted by Fedez that featured Beppe Grillo as a guest.
Let me start by saying I can't stand Fedez—I will never, under any circumstances, watch that podcast again.
I was interested in it because of Grillo; back when he was the "real" Grillo, I absolutely loved him.
Even now, I still watch his shows from the period before and during the formation of the Movement on YouTube.

But when it came time to step up and put his reputation on the line, he backed out, leaving his creation to others in exchange for a hefty annual payment of 300,000 euros from the Movement.
Now he acts like a jilted lover, calling Conte "Reverend Jones"; it’s painfully obvious he’s still bitter about being ousted.
In the podcast, he shows he’s still in great form; the years haven't made him senile—at least, not entirely.

He said something I agree with 200%:
"The foreigner" doesn't exist; what exists is the poor person.
If a Moroccan, a Libyan, a Syrian, or a Black African arrives in Italy—or any country in the affluent West—with a million euros in the bank, not only will they never face discrimination, but within five days, they’d be granted citizenship in the country where they chose to live.

He also made another point that makes perfect sense: in Germany, the AfD triumphed in the Saxon countryside, but in Berlin and other cities, not only did the Social Democrats hold their ground, but the radical Left actually won.
This is because, while people in rural areas fear those who are different, citizens in cities—where factories and businesses operate—know full well that foreigners do the jobs they no longer want to do themselves. I’ve recounted how, at the holiday village where I worked during the summer, there were about fifty direct employees.
Two were Italian—the chef and the pizza maker—while the other 48 (cleaners and maintenance staff) were all Romanian or Albanian.
They had proper contracts, room and board, and unemployment benefits.
So, it’s clear that people like Vannacci exploit these factors—the fear of the "other"—fully aware that, without that "other," no one would do those jobs anymore.

You should go watch the movie Cose dell'altro mondo, starring Abatantuono and Mastrandrea.
