This Sunday, I didn't want to leave without playing a quick game on the SteemLudo platform. The result proves that winning isn't just about luck—strategy and perseverance play a part, too. That’s where practice comes in; really thinking through which piece to move is key in fast-paced games, because a single mistake can be costly.

We started the game very evenly—neck and neck. I think a crucial key in this game is knowing how to get there first; it is vital to move your pieces out just before your opponent passes you. Unfortunately for me, the bot did exactly that.

In short, the game started—and continued—very badly for me; practically every piece I moved got captured and sent back. As you can see from the sequence of screenshots, I ended up having to start almost from scratch with all four of my pieces back at "home." I reached a point where I realized I had already lost and just wanted the game to end.

Once I was able to move out, I saw an opportunity to advance two pieces in parallel since the path was clear; I left two others in the rear so I could capture at least his last piece—and that’s exactly what happened: I waited, and one of my pieces caught him.

In the end, with three of my pieces already on the board, my turn depended on the dice roll; I got lucky, too, because the die was rolled many times without the needed number appearing. Finally, I moved my last piece, rolled the number I needed, and won—well played.
