My second game on SteemLudo

Today I decided to play big; I played a quick 3-Steemit match. I started the game with the advantage—going first on the board and putting a larger number of tokens into play.

I had a clear advantage in the game; I was dominating the play and had advanced three pieces. At one point, I thought that would give me a huge advantage and that I would win the game quickly.

You can see the dominance here: two pieces ready to be crowned—one advancing and the other lying in wait. My strategy was to wait for his pieces and send them back; I had a piece playing that cat-and-mouse game, waiting to pounce.

I prolonged the pursuit as long as I could, but my opponent waited with two pieces at the exit of my home base; I kept advancing and capturing some of their pieces, but then the tide began to turn.

I couldn't wait any longer and had to move forward; that’s where my first piece got captured, and it really hurt me—that last piece of mine ended up getting sent back to "home" three times, while he waited right outside his own "home" to lie in wait for me, ultimately succeeding in his plan.

This shows my opponent's clear dominance: he had advanced three pieces while I was still pushing my last one forward. It turned into a race to complete the final lap—there was no longer any chance to capture an opponent's piece—and, aided by great luck and rolling exactly the numbers he needed, he beat me.
