Playing Ludo on SteemLudo.com

Today, I’m playing Ludo again on the SteemLudo platform. I’m trying to open the page to claim the daily rewards they offer; honestly, I’m not sure what they’re for, but in the long run, it’s better to keep accumulating them. Once I selected the "quick game" option, the challenge of beating the machine began.

The game begins, as always, by trying to roll a 6; that is the bot's strategy. You should always aim to get two pieces out at the start—one to advance and another to lie in wait for the opponent, ready to knock one of their pieces out of play.

At the start, the bot had better luck getting the most pieces out and moving them forward; even though my first piece had already reached the finish, the bot had bumped back the second piece I had brought out, allowing it to pull ahead.

By this point, all the pieces had been brought out and positioned to advance and take up strategic spots—some for safety, others for lying in wait; all that remained was to cross one’s fingers and hope for luck.

The strategy worked; I was able to advance the rest of my pieces and managed to hit one of the opponent's pieces, sending it back to the start. The issue now is that I have to move three pieces instead of just one; this complicates the strategy if the bot rolls high numbers—which is exactly what happened—since it pulled ahead, managed to get all its pieces to the finish line first, and won the game. The lesson learned is that it is better to advance the pieces one by one.

The result is clear: the bot beat me again. Maybe next time.
