Playing SteemLudo while I wait.

This time, I was waiting for my daughter to return from the doctor—she wasn't feeling very well—so we played Ludo on SteemLudo. The bot went first in this match; there’s an element of luck at the start that I think often determines the winner. We both managed to get our second pieces out and kept moving forward—it was a very close game.

In the second phase, the bot captured one of my pieces and I fell behind—showing that it had brought all its pieces out—and shortly after, it captured another of mine, resetting the board to the initial state; on top of that, it promoted its first piece. Things looked grim for me, but this game has taught me that the last shall be first.

I tried to catch and capture with my only piece in play, then gave chase to try and take one of his pieces, but he got away.

I finally managed to capture one of his pieces, so we can move forward; with that move, I was able to significantly advance my first two pieces—especially by managing to get past his area.

At one point in the game, I managed to capture his last piece several times; this set him back and allowed me to recover—which is exactly what happened—enabling me to advance all my pieces significantly, especially the last one.

The final stretch turned into a chase for my last piece, but I couldn't quite catch up—that would have taken a huge stroke of luck. I had managed to get that piece out of the starting area twice, bringing all my pieces into play, though I hadn't yet "crowned" any of them. I distributed the dice rolls strategically to suit my needs, and in the end, I rolled a 1 that secured my victory.
