Devon’s Mew stone, shag stone and dragons tail

in CCS • last month

Devon’s Mew stone, shag stone and dragons tail. The Mew Stone is the largest of the rocks and is an important seabird site and is also notable for grey seals; the National Trust describes it as the most easterly place in the English Channel where grey seals haul out on land.
The Shag Stone is one of the smaller rocky companions around the Mew Stone.
The Dragon’s Tail is formed of a group of offshore rocks/reefs, they are a known place for spotting seals.
