Weekend playing Steem Hop

Been playing a little on today, and I played a really fun game there that made me happy. It's your typical old-school, addictive arcade style jumping game where you have to make a super simple jump to get across traffic while dodging moving cars, boulders and other obstacles with perfect timing and basically hop forward every frame. Sounds easy enough, but the combination of speed and timing required to succeed is a blast.

On this round I was really lucky on the Spin Wheel feature. I played the game and spun the wheel, when I hit the wheel I hit Big Win +777 bonus points which really pumped up my scores.

Afterward, I looked at my dashboard and saw how much I had improved. I had made it to Level 9 – Challenger with a high score of 52 and total points of 949.00 - and got 4 STEEM in rewards.

As you can see from the leaderboard, I was right in the thick of things at Rank 12 overall. To be ranked 12th out of everyone still actively playing is pretty cool, but when I look at the players just ahead of me–like sabirnaz in 11th place with 982 points–I realize I am very close to the top 10. The tough competition is so close, it won't take too many more good sets and precise timing to push up the leaderboard!

Steem Hop remains an enjoyable, addictive way to test my reflexes while making consistent, albeit slow, progress. I will no doubt continue to hop and grind day after day to improve my ranking on the leaderboard.
