Contraption, Flightless, Confused
The next morning, Ray woke up excitedly with a plan in mind.
Since Ash seemed determined to pick on the little kitten whenever he got the chance, Ray decided that Biscuit needed a safe place to play.
After breakfast, he went into the garage and gathered anything he could find. An old cardboard box, bits of string, two toy car wheels, and even one of his mother's wooden spoons.
Once completed, Ray stood back and admired his work.
"Perfect," he announced proudly.
Biscuit stared at the contraption. It had a hole on top, dangling stones on the sides, and a small bell hanging from one corner.
The contraption stared back.
Neither seemed impressed.
Just then, a pigeon landed on the garden fence. The little bird chirped cheerfully and tilted its head towards Biscuit.
Biscuit immediately forgot about the contraption.
Lowering himself to the ground, he crept forward one careful step at a time. His tail twitched. His ears perked up.
The pigeon stayed where it was.
With a sudden burst of confidence, Biscuit leaped into the air.
For a brief moment, he seemed convinced he could fly.
Unfortunately, Biscuit was quite flightless.
The pigeon flew safely away while Biscuit landed awkwardly on top of Ray's contraption.
Ding!
The bell rang.
A string tightened.
One wheel spun.
Another string snapped.
The entire contraption began wobbling.
Biscuit scrambled across the top as pieces rattled around him.
Ding! Doink! Bonk!
Finally, everything came to a stop.
The contraption leaned sideways.
One wheel had somehow ended up in a flower pot.
Ray and Biscuit both stared at the contraption.
Neither of them had the slightest idea what had just happened.
Biscuit sat down and looked confused. So did Ray.

Thank youuuu @wakeupkitty ❤️❤️❤️! I may not be able to complete all of the prompts within October.. can we flow to November?
You can use the prompts whenever you like. I think about joining NaNoWriMo in our way since I read. it no longer exists after all those years.
Also some artists like the prompts. I am also behind. And today's drawing is spoiled by the fineliner 😭
Btw, There's a poetry version around March/April of NaNoWriMo.
Ooo NaNoWriMo.. been a long time since I heard that, forgot what it was until I searched. 50,000 words novel in the month of November, 1667 words per day, wow. How do you plan to join in our way?
Ya very behind and work dampened my mood these 2 weeks. I have slowed down here. I will just continue after October for both freewrite and drawing. I haven't visited your latest drawings. Coming soon. And guess what, I am replying during my work time .. ssshhhh.
Oh.. it has a poetry version too? Ooo there is no minimum words. One poem a day, I think that is doable 😅
