Fascinating Robber Fly

Here, I would like to come with some fascinating robber fly pictures that perch on the dried twig. This is actually a black robber fly with green eyes, the day I found it, it was standing calmly waiting for the prey. As the name suggests, a robber fly is capable of catching prey while flying and I guess it was seeking a chance to execute the mission. Anytime we find this kind of insect, it is always in a standing position like it was so well prepared for the worst. The robber fly is classified in diverse families (Asilidae) known for their predatory behavior that attacks bees, dragonflies, grasshoppers, wasps other flies, and also some spiders become their target.
