Assalamu'alaikum everyone.
I am @sahriarabir from #Bangladesh

Assalamu Alaikum. I welcome you all to my new drawing post today. Drawing is something that always brings me joy and a deep sense of mental peace. That is why, even amidst a busy schedule, I try to make time for this activity I love. While creating today's artwork, I strove for precision at every step. In this post, I have showcased how a simple sketch gradually transforms into a complete picture. I hope you will view the entire post with patience.

Materials needed for the drawing:

  • White art paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Colors
  • Marker pen

Step-by-step drawing process:

Step 1:

First, I drew a cactus—a large one, accompanied by a few smaller cacti.

Step 2:

Next, I drew a pot beneath the cacti. With that, the entire drawing was complete. Now, it was time to add color.

Step 3:

In the third step, I colored the pot. I used two colors for this: I covered the entire pot with a yellow-orange (saffron-yellow) shade, and used brown for the inner side of the pot. This completed the coloring of the pot.

Step 4:

Then, I colored the cacti. I used a yellowish-green shade to fill in all the cacti.

Step 5:

Now came the most important part: adding the spines. I drew spines along the veins and all around the edges of the cacti. At this stage, the drawing truly took its complete form.

Step 6:

Once the coloring and the addition of the spines were finished, I used a black marker pen to outline the cacti. This made them stand out even more.

Step 7:

Finally, I added my ID name and the competition theme next to the cacti. With this, the drawing was complete.

It looks nice, at first I thought this is digital art 🤔

I like to see the type of markers you used plus can you colour a bit with it on a piece of paper and also show the backside of the paper?

Do you use ordinary 80 grams paper?
