Assalamu'alaikum everyone.
I am @sahriarabir from #Bangladesh

Hello friends ,

How are you all, I hope everyone is doing well by the grace of Allah. Today I have come to participate in a drawing competition after a long time. I try to draw a few things in my free time. I think the habit of drawing is very good because through drawing, the thoughts of the mind can be transformed into reality through paper and pen. So today I have come up with a beautiful drawing.

Materials needed for the drawing:

  • White art paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Colors
  • Marker pen

Step-by-step drawing process:

Step 1:

First, I drew a section of a pencil—including its body, the tip, and the transition area just below the tip.

Step 2:

Next, I drew a small tailorbird perched on the tip of the pencil. I gave the bird a humorous look, complete with a large pair of glasses.

Step 3:

I then colored the glasses on the tailorbird using black, ensuring the frames were filled in with black as well.

Step 4:

Using a black fine-liner (outline pen), I added textured, jagged shading across the bird’s body to represent its feathers.

Step 5:

In this step, I colored the bird’s tail black, which completed the coloring process for the bird itself.

Step 6:

I then colored the lower part of the pencil black, the section just below the tip a soft, sweet shade (a light, warm tone), and the main body of the pencil a pale yellow (saffron-yellow).

Step 7:

Once the coloring was finished, I went over the drawing with a black marker to add outlines, which helped highlight the entire image.

Step 8:

Finally, I added my ID name and the competition theme next to the drawing. With that, the artwork was complete.
