DIGITAL ART || TWO BLACK AND WHITE CATS
TWO BLACK-AND-WHITE CATS
Hello everyone! In this digital art session, we are going to draw two beautiful cats. We are using a 3:4 aspect ratio (1536×2048) for this project. To start, we’ll create a sketch using the brush tool highlighted by the red circle.
Here, I am using the drawing app Ibis Paint X; it is very easy to learn how to use.
- Once the sketch is complete, we move on to the coloring stage; here, we use a blue color palette—ranging from dark blue to light blue—along with black, white, and yellow.
- For now, we are using blue for the wall color.
- Next, we use black and a little yellow on the black cat.
- After we have colored the black cat, then we start coloring the white cat, but before we continue with coloring the white cat, we give a little red background to the area of the cat that will be colored white. The aim is so that we can differentiate between the initial background and which color of the cat because they are both white, except that we are always coloring the sky background so there is no need to use red.
- Next, once the cat has been fully colored, refine the initial black outlines until they are very fine, so that there are no visible boundary lines.
- Next, we add a light blue background, and here is the final result.

THANK YOU
