Inktober 2026 #11: Rescue & #12: Toss
A continuation to drawing my freewrite Rescue, Toss, Flimsy, Lady, I combined 4 prompts together in the freewrite but I drew each "scene" separately.
For this round, I will present the scenes for Rescue and Toss prompts first. I maintained my cartoonish way of drawing because it is the way I know how at the moment.
In the story, Ray first rescued the kitten from the drain when he heard soft meows coming from the direction of the alley between his neighbours' houses.
With pencil, I sketched the scene:
I tried to make the kitten looking sad and Ray looking worried, not sure if I was successful at that.
After the ink, the kitten became less cute, darn:
I used the same colors as my previous Rays and voila!
When it came to the prompt toss, Ray tossed a ball to the kitten as part of their play time.
Added the ink and some motion lines:
Interesting how the face changes after ink 😂.
And then the rubbed away the pencil lines:

I like your cartoonist style and hope you keep it. It is unique and attracts the attention.
If it comes to this one, for a moment I thought the child rescued the cat first and next tossed it away. 🤐
Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Dies the child toss an apple? If that is the case 'smack' and a hopefully miniature bump will be the result.
❤️🍀
Thank youu.. I think I have to keep it because I can only draw this way at the moment. Haven't gone into sophistication mode yet😂
Ohh.. hmm come to think of it, it would have sound like it that he found the kitten and tossed it away hahaha. Ah the child went to an apple cafe, he din toss an apple haha.
An apple is hard, I hope the cat will not be hurt.
🍀❤️
No tossing of apple, no cat will be hurt hehe
Wonderful idea and well put in the drawing :)
