Inktober2026 #2/ Relic
Assalamu'alaikum everyone.
I am @bimanakhan from #Bangladesh
Hello friends,
How are you all? I hope that by the grace of Allah, everyone is very well. Alhamdulillah, by the infinite grace of Allah, I am also very well. I am going to start my discussion today with respect, love and respect for everyone on the steemit platform.
Just as flowers are beautiful on the plant, people are beautiful in their actions. The more beautiful the actions, the more beautiful the person is, that is, the beauty of people shines through their actions. Similarly, by doing beautiful work on the steemit platform, we get an opportunity to express ourselves and develop ourselves beautifully.
We can learn a lot from those who work regularly on the steemit platform and if we have any mistakes, we can correct them. Moreover, we can express the talents we have to people through the steemit platform. Steemit is a place I love. I feel proud to work here. Steemit has taught me to be self-reliant. By working here, I have found a job to work independently.
Above all, steemit is a place I love. Here I work with love. I love drawing very much. So most of my work on the steemit platform is drawing. I can develop my talent and talent through drawing. So I love the steemit platform very much.
With working here with love, I want to take myself far ahead and with the help of steemit, I want to continue working well and beautifully. In the future, I want to give more beautiful work to steemit and I want to experience many beautiful work from steemit. All in all, I want to move forward here with love.

Step 1:
First, I drew the frame (stand) for the hourglass. I carefully sketched the top, bottom, and side supports using a pencil.
Step 2:
Next, I drew the central section of the hourglass—the part that holds the sand. Since this consists of two distinct parts, I drew each one separately.
Step 3:
In this step, to enhance the appearance of the hourglass, I added some shading and lines inside the structure using a black gel pen.
Step 4:
Then, using a 12B pencil, I shaded (or colored in) the frame/stand that I had drawn around the hourglass.
Step 5:
I then shaded the sand section located in the center of the hourglass. I used the 12B pencil here as well to give it an aesthetically pleasing look.
Step 6:
Once the shading was complete, I went over the entire drawing with a black gel pen to add an outline. This made the hourglass appear much sharper and more vivid.
Step 7:
Finally, after adding the outline, I wrote my user ID and the contest theme next to the drawing, concluding the creative process.
Thank you to the steemit Platform and thank you to all my brothers, sisters and friends working on the steemit Platform. I hope that we will all be able to do more beautiful work in the future with respect and love for this platform and that we will be able to move forward much further with the inspiration of our colleagues. I am leaving here today with the hope that everyone will be well and healthy. May Allah Hafez protect us.

Your shading is so good, it looks like a real old hourglass. Really beautiful work!
Ancient, yet the most reliable timepieces for short-term tasks :)
I would not call this a relic since we still use, but like the way you drew it.
