Inktober 2026: 5/Ogre
Hello Steemians
Good day everyone, hope we are all enjoying our saturday, the challenge for inktober today is Ogre. I used to remember watching Shrek as a kid and i usually love the animation but i never truly understood the story.
I remember when i watched shrek again when i was 18, it was there that i had another insight of more than just cartoon, there was theme of love,courage,hope,friendship. this was when i understood the cartoon dipper. so for inktober challenge when i saw Orge, Shrek was the only thing that came to mind.
Today i would be sharing my process and steps used to archive this drawing , and i hope you all like and enjoy the process.
Step 1
Started with my Sketch and outline
Step 2
Identified and shaded the darkest spot on the face
Step 3
Shaded the light and mid tone on the face next
Step 4
Next i worked on the neck at this stage.
Step 5
Lastly i worked on the wears, which brought to the end of this drawing.
I highly recommend participating the inktober challenge and follow the prompt #inktober.
The faces of the demons truly reflect the negative traits of human beings. Your artwork of the demon is excellent; the creature appears to have a smiling face, which seems to temper its ferocity. You have drawn it beautifully. Best of luck in the competition.
That indeed is the most tricky one, what hides behind the friendly face. On the other hand, monsters to some can be lovers and heroes to others.

Lo que aprendí con Shrek es que recién de grande uno le ve el fondo a las historias. Me quedó dando vueltas el paso 3, cómo manejaste la luz y el tono medio en la cara, ahí es donde el dibujo agarra volumen. En serio cuesta ver el detalle de la esperanza y la amistad cuando sos pibe, ¿no?
😂 Sinceramente, cuando éramos niños, solo veíamos Shrek y nos reíamos del Burro. Ahora que somos mayores, de repente descubrimos lecciones de vida en un ogro verde. 😂 ¡Y muchas gracias! La luz y los tonos medios realmente marcan la diferencia a la hora de darle volumen al rostro. Aprecio mucho tus amables palabras, señorita. 😊

Behind the story of Shrek, there are many aspects we could analyze in depth. We could say it's the kind of animated film with messages for adults, but one that children also enjoy immensely.
